All umpires for the 2010 Baseball season will be assigned through the Fargo Babe Ruth office. Please go to the Fargo Babe Ruth Website to register if you are interested in umpiring baseball this year. You must create an account and a password to get started.
2010 Umpire Clinics
- Mandatory umpire clinics will be held on:
- Sunday, April 18th
- NEW Umpires from 2:00-4:00 PM
- RETURNING Umpires from 3:00-4:00 PM
- Saturday, May 1st
- NEW Umpires from 2:00-4:00 PM
- RETURNING Umpires from 3:00-4:00 PM
- Both clinics to be held @ Fargo North High Fitness Center (801 17th Ave. N.)
- Please mark your calendar with these dates – no other notice will be sent.
- Sunday, April 18th
- You are required to attend one of these clinics to become certified; first year umpires may attend both clinics.
- Umpires under the age of 18 should have two years of Babe Ruth Baseball experience within the last 3 years.
- There is no charge to attend these clinics.
- 2010 Payment Scale:
- $20.00 per game – 8 & 9 Year Old Rookie League (only 1 Umpire per game - 2 games a night)
- $20.00 Plate & Field Umpire/Game - Cal Ripken League (10 - 11 - 12 year olds)
- $30.00 Plate & Field Umpire/Game - Babe Ruth League (13 - 14 year olds)
- $40.00 Plate & Field Umpire/Game - Babe Ruth League (15 - 18 year olds)
ATTENTION: If you are 13 Years Old by August 1, 2010, You May Apply to be an Umpire for the 8-10 Year Old Games!
